How to create your first AI model and generate results

Updated over 5 months ago

To generate AI headshots or other images, Headshotly first creates a personal AI model based on your uploaded photos. Once your model is created, you can reuse it anytime without re-uploading photos.

Step 1: Go to My Models

  1. Navigate to Dashboard → My Models
    Link: https://headshotly.ai/dashboard/my-models

  2. Click Create New Model +

Step 2: Upload Your Photos

You will be redirected to the upload page:

Photo Upload Requirements:

  • Upload 8–10 clear photos

  • Different angles (front, left, right, slight tilt)

  • No sunglasses, masks, or heavy filters

  • Good lighting (natural or soft indoor light). Once uploaded successfully, click Next.

Step 3: Select Mode or Style

After uploading your photos, you’ll be taken to the “Select Mode” screen

Choose the type of results you want:

  • Professional Mode

  • Creative Mode

  • Halloween ModeHalloween Mode

Step 4: Select Profession/Category (Optional)

Choose a style that fits your role or industry - example:

  • Corporate / Executive

  • Doctor / Lawyer / Engineer

  • Content Creator / Influencer

  • Fantasy / Creative Headshots

Step 5: Name Your Model & Start Generation

  • Give your model a name (Example: John_Suit_Headshots)

  • Click Create Model

Your photos will now be processed. AI training typically takes 20–30 minutes.

Step 6: View and Download Your Results

Once completed, you will get a notification.

To see your generated headshots:

  1. Go to Dashboard → My Collection

  2. Browse your images
Download your favourites in full quality

Tips for Best Results

  • Use 50–70% front-facing photos, 30–50% slight angles

  • Avoid selfies with low light or beauty filters

  • Include 1–2 side profiles if possible

  • More variety = stronger model = better headshots

Can I use the same model again?

Yes! Once your model is trained, you can reuse it for different outfits, backgrounds, thumbnails, team photos, etc. No need to upload photos again.
